Finally I was able to mange it all with some really great, simple and easy recipes. I will be sharing two of my favorite pizza dough recipes. Both are easy to make are absolutely great. The recipes are:

1.Basic Pizza Dough Recipe:
Ingredients:
-2 packages dry yeast
-1 1/2 cup lukewarm water
-4 cups flour
-1 teaspoon salt
-1/2 teaspoon sugar
-1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water and set it aside for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then combine the flour, salt, sugar and oil in a bowl making a well in the center. When water/yeast mixture is bubbly, pour into center of well. Start kneading the dough, bringing flour toward center of bowl. Gradually increase your kneading motion.
If dough feels dry, add a little more water; if it feels sticky, add more flour. Knead vigorously until dough is smooth and elastic. Roll into ball and cover with a damp cloth. Let rest for about 20 minutes in a warm place. Beat dough with your palm to expel gas formed while fermenting. Roll dough again into ball and place in a greased bowl. Baste with oil. Cover with plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator.
When ready to use, place dough on floured counter top or table. Flatten the dough with your hands, working from center out (a rolling pin may do also). Push dough evenly onto greased cookie sheet or pizza pan, forming a 12-inch circle with edges thicker than middle. Apply your favorite topping in desired amounts. Bake in hot oven (475 to 500 degrees) until golden brown.

2.Cornmeal Pizza Crust Recipe:
Ingredients:
-1 cup warm water
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – divided
-1 cup cornmeal
-1 tablespoon cornmeal -divided
-2 tablespoons sugar or honey
-2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Directions:
Measure carefully and place all ingredients, except the 1 tablespoon of cornmeal, in bread machine pan. Program basic dough cycle setting and press start. Remove dough from bread machine pan and let rest for 2 to 3 minutes.
Pat and gently stretch dough into 14- to 15-inch circle. Spray a 14-inch pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray and sprinkle with remaining 1 tablespoon cornmeal. Press dough into pan.
Then follow with topping and baking directions for individual recipes. 1 14-inch crust makes 8 servings.

I use these two easy pizza dough recipes a lot when making my own pizzas. Now you can too. Enjoy!

Answer by Wcld Sp
PIZZA DOUGH (QUICK AND EASY)

2 pkg. rapid rise yeast
2/3 c. warm water
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. olive oil
2/3 c. warm water

Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a small bowl, mix first 3 ingredients. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.

In a large bowl, combine salt, flour (no need to use the full quantity – use enough flour to make a stiff dough), sugar oil, and the second 2/3 cup of warm water.

Mix together yeast and flour mixture and knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic.

Place dough into an oiled bowl and turn once to coat with oil. Cover and let rise until doubled in size (about 45 minutes to 1 hour).

Sprinkle a pan with cornmeal or semolina flour. Press dough out with your fingertips (or roll out) into a circle (or use a square cookie sheet for Sicilian style pizza).

Brush with olive oil and spread with your favorite toppings (pizza sauce, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers and onions are a few suggestions).

Bake at 350°F-400°F for 15-20 minutes or until edges are golden and lightly browned in spots and cheese is melted and bubbly.

Makes 1 large pizza.

Looking for a new pizza dough recipe – something different?

I am looking for a new pizza dough recipe – something that isn’t the traditional:

Yeast & water
Flour
salt
sugar
oil

I make pizza every month or two, my family prefers homemade to chain pizza or even local restaurant pizzas. While the old standard is a good recipe, I’d like to try something different. Seems that every single pizza dough recipe I get tastes the same, no matter how you switch around or alter the amounts of the main ingredients.

Any ideas? Your favorites? Tried and true recipes? Thanks!
